Notice for Registration

Dear Applicants,

Congratulations! You have been admitted to Qingdao University. The Admission Office along with the rest of the University join us in celebrating your achievements and we welcome you to study at QU!

Enclosed in this letter you will find the JW202 form （or JW201 form）and admission notice.

Important Information about securing your enrollment, financing your education, and arranging your accommodation etc. is provided as below. Please pay close attention and make note of all deadlines.

1. Visas

Please apply for visa at your country’s Chinese embassy or consulate with the enclosed JW202 form （or JW201 form）and admission notice.

You are supposed to confirm your visa situation at International Students’ Office when you registered. Visa Type and requirements are listed as follow:

★ Illegal work for students who hold students visa is strictly forbidden by China Law.

2. Registration

Please come to register at the International Students office with following documents:

★Original copy of your JW202 form（or JW201 form）

★ Admission notice

★ 4 two-inch passport-sized photos (More passport photos maybe necessary for physical test record or visa application. )

★ Health check materials (in Chinese or English).

★ Proof of highest education diploma ( For degree—seeking students)

Registration Location:

International Students Office, QU is located in the lobby of Minxing Building, west Campus of Qingdao University, 308 Ningxia Road (100 meters north of the International Academic Center).

3. Physical Examination Record & Verification for students with X1 visa (3-5 days required)

Physical Examination record is required for residence permit application. For students who already got physical examination record, verification of your physical record is necessary.

Note: No breakfast!

Three 2-inch, passport-sized photos (white background)

Approximate cost:  RMB617

 ALL Original examination documents in Chinese or English, including your X-ray photos or a CD with the digital X-ray images, as well as an original electrocardiogram (ECG) are required to be provided for verification of physical record.

4. Accommodation

Staying at campus dormitory building is strongly recommended for university for students’ convenience and safety. Single room and double room type is provided. If you want to live on campus, please email fengmowei514@126.com for room reservation. Basic information including Name, gender, passport number, Nationality and type of room preferred (single or double) is required to provide for reservation. Room fee and deposit RMB800 is charged when you check in. For early check-out, no room fee is refunded.

Double room is provided for exchange students and scholarship students with no requirement for advanced reservation. Double rooms are provided for these students. If the student chooses to live off-campus, rent need to be afforded by students themselves.

5. Temporary Residence Registration

According to Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, foreigners are required to register at the local police station within 24 hours after EACH entry into China. If you change passport, get new visa or residence permit, or change your living address, you must go to local police station to renew your residence permit within 10 days, otherwise you will be regarded as an illegal resident. (For students living at campus dormitory, reception desk can help you register.)

6. Insurance

According to Insurance policy set by China Education Ministry, ALL International students are required to purchase Health Insurance in China on the registration date.  

The cost is 800 RMB for one year or 400 RMB for one semester. Scholarship students have insurance covered by scholarship benefits.

7. Scholarship Evaluation（only for scholarship students）

Students studying longer than one year must attend a yearly evaluation of their study progress in order to maintain their scholarship. Failure to attend this evaluation or a poor result may result in ending or severely reducing the amount of the scholarship. Students on different scholarships will have different types of evaluations.

8. Other Important Information

All fees must be paid in CASH (Chinese RMB).
