Qingdao University
Qingdao University is situated in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, which is a famous tourist destination and leisure city of China. It was founded in 1909 and now is one of the key universities in China. In 1993, Qingdao University became even more versatile when it merged with three other major universities. It has a wide range of disciplines and is accredited to grant Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees.
As one of the 50 Universities approved the qualification of enrolling international students by Ministry of Education, Qingdao University started enrollment of international students from 1987. Qingdao University was approved as HSK test center by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) in 1997. QU was authorized as The Demonstration Education Base of Study in China by MOE in 2014 and was authorized as one of 27 universities which is in conformity with the International students Education standard in China. In 2018, over 1700 international students from 70 countries came to study at Qingdao University.
Faculty of Medicine
The Faculty of Medicine of Qingdao University is one of the first units of higher medical colleges approved by the State Council with the right to grant master's degree. It is a pilot university for the excellent doctor training program of the Ministry of Education. The history of medical education at Qingdao University can be traced back to the Qingdao Institute of Higher Education, which was founded in 1909. In 1946, the School of Medicine of Shandong University was established; in 1956, the Independent College of Shandong University School of Medicine established the Qingdao Medical College. In 1993, Qingdao Medical College merged with Qingdao University and other two colleges to form a new Qingdao University. In December 2015, the Faculty of Medicine was established at Qingdao University.
The Faculty of Medicine has 6 colleges, namely Pre-clinical Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Pharmacology and Rehabilitation Medicine; 4 departments including Clinical Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Imaging and Pediatrics, and 14 research institutes. The Faculty of Medicine also has 16 affiliated hospitals and 4 teaching hospitals. And it currently has 2 national academic disciplines, 2 first-class disciplines of Shandong Province, 6 first-level specialized Doctorate programs, 2 professional Medical PhD programs and 6 post-doctoral programs. There are 2 collaborative innovation centres and 3 key laboratories of Shandong Province.
The Faculty of Medicine has eight undergraduate majors in clinical medicine, medical laboratory science, medical imaging, preventive medicine, stomatology, pharmacy, nursing, and biotechnology. Clinical medicine is a national speciality and a provincial key speciality. There are 2 National quality courses and 2 national bilingual demonstration courses, 1 national experimental teaching demonstration centre and 1 national talent training innovation experimental zone. There are more than 3,800 undergraduate students, more than 2,500 postgraduate and doctoral students, and about 360 international students.
The Faculty of Medicine has 424 full-time teachers, including 244 professors and associate professors; 1 Chinese Academy of Engineering academician, 6 external academicians. In the past five years, the Faculty of Medicine has undertaken more than 600 scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level and won 64 scientific research awards at or above the provincial level. 1942 SCI research papers were published and 235 national patents were granted.
Established in 1898, Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital is a provincial comprehensive tertiary first-class hospital and a provincially designated health care hospital that integrates medical teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation functions. It ranks 69th in China's best hospital rankings. At present, there are 5,046 open beds in the hospital. The total number of emergency and outpatient visits was 52.73 million, 210,000 discharges and 104,000 surgeries per year. It has 2 national key clinical disciplines (specialities) and 31 provincial key clinical specialities. The hospital has 960 senior professional technicians and 780 doctors and it has built a first-class science and education building in China.

Application Information
Admissions Information and Admissions Eligibility
To be eligible for selection to the undergraduate MBBS program, all applicants should meet the following conditions:
1. Applicants should provide academic transcripts from high school and any higher education institutions they have attended. Your average scores should be higher than 80% and every subject should be higher than 60%. And over 250 in NEET (for Indian Applicants).
2. Applicants should be more than 18 years old and in a healthy physical condition.
3. Applicants should have strong English Language skills. Applicants from non-English speaking countries should provide records of their English learning from primary and secondary school or a certificate of English proficiency from a standardized English test.
4. Applicants must guarantee that they will comply with the Chinese Constitution, the laws of China and all school rules while in China. Applicants should have financial support, as well as guarantors for their stay in China. Students must guarantee that they will purchase medical insurance during their study period in China.

Online application process:
1. Please log in the foreign student application system of Qingdao university within the registration opening time: http://istudy.qdu.edu.cn/apply register and truthfully fill in the information online.
2. After checking the registration information, please upload the proof of paying the registration fee.
3. After confirming the fee voucher, we will issue the“E-offer”admission notice online. Please pay attention to the registration email reminder.
Admission process
1. The admission office will review all the application materials. If the applicants’ submitted documents are verified, then the applicant is required to pay the application fee to the University.
2. The Admission Notice, the Visa Application for Study in China form (JW202 form), and the Registration Guide will be mailed to the applicant.
3. All applicants should undergo a physical examination according to the requirements of the Chinese Embassy.
4. Apply for an X1 visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the your home country.
5. Register at the International Student Office during the registration period specified in the Registration Guide.
